  appearance.     Standing at 7 fulms tall with an imposing build, Grimnir appears cold and distant upon first glance. She is almost always seen wearing her eyepatch, and her preferred attire is her long, fur-trimmed coat along with her armor.  personality.   Grimnir does not make small talk, preferring to keep conversations short and on the topic of business before she leaves to do her task. She typically only speaks when necessary and often opts to stay silent otherwise.Though her silence and intense gaze may make her difficult to approach, she is fiercely protective of the people residing within the small village in her past and does not hesitate to speak up against any perceived slight to them. Despite her aloof nature, she is known to have a dry sense of humor.She has earned the nickname "Cleaver" for supposedly killing a large beast by means of cleaving it in half with her greatsword while defending a village.


raven companions. Grimnir has two raven companions that accompany her, Huginn and Muninn. They will often scout areas for her and help track down her targets.
premonition. Due to the Echo, Grimnir is able to see visions of the near future for 5 seconds, though the perspective is always from one of her ravens. This ability is triggered randomly when her left eye is open and uncovered. She often uses this to predict where her targets will be.
lightning. Grimnir has a talent for channeling lightning aspected aether, and frequently uses it in combat to vicious effect.

past. Originally hailing from Bozja, Grimnir was one of the orphans living in the aftermath of Garlean subjugation of the nation and the Bozja Incident. She resided in the small village of Zetina's Grace and was taken in by caretakers in the martial arts school known as the Verdant Path. They had found her wandering its halls alone as a child, and it is presumed that her previous guardian or caretaker had died in the resulting blast of Midas nan Garlond making contact with Dalamud. She would live there in relative solace among the other orphans in the village.in Garlemald. During her young adult years, Garlean soldiers eventually came to the small village looking for conscripts. Grimnir was one of those taken from her homeland and into Garlemald, where her familiarity with combat was recognized. They further trained her to become a foot soldier for the Garlean army, during which time her aptitude for channeling lightning-aspected aether arose. Some Garlean commanders viewed this as an asset and she was put directly on the front lines along with many other non-Garlean conscripts.Unexpectedly for her commanders, Grimnir performed rather well on the front lines and became a notable bulwark as she helped break through the enemy. They would continually deploy her onto border areas to help push the Garlean invasion into neighboring territories. She, however, waited for the chance to slip free of the Empire during these deployments.

Such a chance finally came when Grimnir was once again deployed near the border of Ilsabard and Eorzea, during a particularly viscious skirmish in which the locals summoned primordial beasts to wipe out the Garlean army. With many of her platoon decimated and their commander killed in the ensuing chaos, Grimnir managed to flee into the surrounding snowy forest and ran until the sounds of battle could no longer be heard. Tired and lost, she continued walking through the snow aimlessly for several days, hunting animals and drinking from lakes and ponds. Eventually, she came across a small village in the far outskirts of Ilsabard where she was taken in by the locals. She spoke very little and would not talk about where she came from. Her detached demeanor led the locals to name her "Grimnir", or "iron mask" in their language.Grimnir would live in the village in relative peace, helping to defend it from aggressive beasts. This was also around the time she would come across two wounded ravens, and a bond was formed via the newly awakened Echo within Grimnir. The ravens would act as scouts and become her new companions.present. Grimnir eventually left her new home out of increasing fear that the Garleans might discover her there and destroy the village. Despite forming close ties to the people there, she set out for Eorzea. With no current home, she travels around the city-states offering services as a bounty hunter, though she would one day like to return home to the snowy village in Ilsabard.

Azem shard from the Source.

  summary.     The Warrior of Light and Azem shard from the Source. He grew up on a pirate ship with the captain as his foster father, until the crew was destroyed during the fall of Dalamud. He was saved from death by Hydaelyn and found on the shores of Limsa by fishermen. Recruited into a branch of the Rogues' Guild in Limsa, they ended up using him as a weapon and guard dog until Wolfe violently broke free of their grasp.

Lenore

Azem shard from the 13th.

  summary.     Originally a civilian of the 13th, she was the first and last that the Ascian Emet-Selch convinced to return to her Ancient form. But disagreements led Azem to travel to the Source and perish, reincarnating in that world. And so Lenore was born, the adopted daughter of an Ishgardian family. As she grew, she had a constant feeling in the back of her mind that she was meant to meet someone, and eventually set out from Ishgard to find them.

Simon

A scorned former knight of Ishgard.

  summary.     Taken in by one of the smaller Ishgardian noble houses as a child, Simon served as their retainer and was embraced by the family as one of their own children. Once Simon grew into an adult, however, Temple Knights attacked the family's estate on charges of heresy. With Simon ending up as the only survivor of the family, he set down his sword and shield and took up the greatsword of Dark Knights.
